Partners meeting to enhance transboundary efforts between national parks of Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 and Kazakhstan 🇰🇿
On August 1, 2023, staff from Ilbirs Foundation traveled to Kazakhstan for a partners meeting to discuss the ongoing project on enhancing transboundary conservation efforts between Ile-Alatau National Park (Kazakhstan) and Chon-Kemin State Natural Park (Kyrgyzstan) supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fรผr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) meeting was held at the Ile-Alatau National Park Headquarters where the current status of the project was discussed as well as joint activities moving forward. In the coming weeks installation of camera traps on both sides of the border for monitoring transboundary species will be done and SMART patrolling software will be introduced to support the work of park rangers and transboundary data sharing.
