We are delighted to share the inspiring story of a woman ranger from Kyrgyzstan who, through her own example, demonstrates that protecting nature knows no boundaries and that women play a vital role in conservation efforts
Nazira Tolubaeva is our long-standing partner and a dedicated member of the “Jashyl-Oroon” CBC. Together, we have accomplished significant work under the UNEP Vanishing Treasures Programme and continue to collaborate closely in safeguarding Kyrgyzstan’s natural heritage.
We are proud to announce that an interview with Nazira Tolubaeva and Gulnura Zhumabai kyzy, Coordinator of the Ilbirs Foundation, has been published on the website of the European Ranger Federation, an organization uniting rangers and foresters across Europe.
The publication highlights the important role of local communities and women leaders in nature conservation and demonstrates how collaborative efforts can lead to meaningful achievements in protecting the environment.
