Today, on 15 June 2026, training sessions for field teams officially began as part of Phase II of the research project “Community Climate Health Amongst Livestock Keepers in Kyrgyzstan”.
Over the next ten days, researchers will prepare for data collection in more than 21 villages across the country. 🔎
The first phase of the study covered 12 villages and explored local perceptions of climate change 🌧️, the condition of natural resources 🏔️, and their impacts on the livelihoods of local communities. In this second phase, the focus shifts to a deeper understanding of human health 👥 and how climatic and environmental changes affect people’s well-being.
The coming days will involve training on data collection methods, familiarization with research tools, and preparation for the large-scale fieldwork phase.
Conducted across Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬, the study will contribute to the development of evidence-based recommendations aimed at strengthening the resilience of rural communities to the impacts of climate change.
