On August 21st and 22nd experts from Ilbirs Foundation conducted an Improvement Benchmarking and Evaluation Index (IBEX) Assessment with Baiboosun CBC and Ala-Too Bugu CBC in southern Issyk-Kul region📊.

The IBEX assessment evaluates protected areas against the IUCN Green List Standard which is representative of the global standard for protected area management and are used to identify needs for improvement. These assessments were carried out within the framework of the project “Snow Leopards and Persian Leopards: A Shared Strategy to Save Them and their Habitats Part II”, funded by Fondation Segré and implemented with the support of Conservation X Labs🤝.
