From 10–12 March 2026, the Ilbirs Foundation together with the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Protected Areas under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic organized a training for SMART operators.

From 10–12 March 2026, the Ilbirs Foundation together with the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Protected Areas under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic organized a training for SMART operators.

The training brought together SMART database operators from the following protected areas:
📍 Sary-Chelek State Biosphere Reserve
📍 Padysha-Ata State Nature Reserve
📍 Kan-Achuu State Nature Park
📍 Kara-Buura State Nature Park

💻 What did participants learn?
During the training, participants strengthened their skills in working with the #SMART database, focusing on effective data management, preparation of accurate quarterly reports, and data analysis.

Strengthening technical skills and using modern tools like SMART helps improve monitoring and protection of wildlife and biodiversity in protected areas. 🐾🏔️
