WORKSHOP ON “ILLEGAL TRADE AND OTHER THREATS TO THE SNOW LEOPARD IN CENTRAL ASIA” From July 8-9 in Bishkek, a workshop titled “Illegal Trade and Other Threats to the Snow Leopard in Central Asia” was organized.

Participants presented country reports on the status of threats to the snow leopard and illegal trade, discussed current and potential threats, explored methods for addressing them, and identified opportunities for cross-border cooperation. And Valuable working relationships were established with international counterparts.
Additionally, as part of the Agreement on Wildlife Conservation Cooperation between the Department of Internal Affairs of Issyk-Kul region and the Ilbirs Foundation, PF “Ilbirs Fund” donated 3 GoPro action cameras to the commander of the Tourist-Ecological Police of Issyk-Kul region. These cameras will be used during patrols in the sensitive areas of the Issyk-Kul region to enhance surveillance and monitoring efforts.
