We continue transboundary conservation activities after successful completion of cooperation with Chon-Kemin State Nature Park.
On January 27, Ilbirs Foundation met with the staff of the Padysha-Ata State Nature Reserve to start a new project “Implementing Integrated Watershed Management to Protect Key Areas of the Western Tien Shan”. This initiative, supported by the GIZ Regional Program “Integrative and Climate-Sensitive Land Use in Central Asia”, brings together partners from Ugam-Chatkal State National Nature Park (Uzbekistan) and Aksu-Zhabagli State Nature Reserve (Kazakhstan).
🔹 Project objectives:
We will focus on conserving the region’s water resources through the development of integrated watershed management plans for protected areas.
This project will be an important step towards collaborative management of natural resources in the region, bringing together the efforts of partners, conservation organizations and local communities to protect the ecosystems of the Western Tien Shan.
