Today we are excited to introduce our new research project “Community Climate Health Amongst Livestock Keepers in Kyrgyzstan” (CCHALKK)🔎📊, which has recently been launched.

This project is a result of close collaboration 🤝 between the Nossal Institute for Global Health (University of Melbourne)🇦🇺, the Association of Village Health Committees of Kyrgyzstan (AVHCK), and the Ilbirs Foundation, with support from #Wellcome. 🌍
A multidisciplinary team will study how climate change affects the health of livestock-keeping communities in Central Asia — a region where livestock plays a crucial role in culture, food security, and livelihoods 🐑. 📊 In Kyrgyzstan, we will collect evidence on how climate change 🏔 impacts people’s health through shifts in livestock management and the environment, and assess the related economic consequences across different sectors from a One Health perspective.
🔮 In the future, this knowledge will support the development of adaptation measures, strengthen public health, and promote sustainable livestock practices 🙏.
