The CCHALKK research project is gaining momentum! 🌿🔬

A new site visit took place in the picturesque Chong-Alai region 🏔 — where the mountains literally touch the sky.

From October 6 to 10, 2025, the team from Ilbirs Foundation, KADK, and representatives of the Nossal Institute for Global Health (Australia) carried out another pilot field visit under the project.

The visit made it possible to:
📊 collect valuable data on how local communities experience the impacts of climate change,
🌡 compare observed changes between the south and north of Kyrgyzstan,
🎓 and carry out an interactive presentation offering practical recommendations on climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Participants noted not only the remarkable natural contrasts of Chong-Alai, but also the extraordinary hospitality of local residents, who were eager to share their knowledge and observations. 💚

The CCHALKK project continues to bring science and communities together — to deepen understanding of how climate change affects the lives of people in Kyrgyzstan.
