On October 22, 2024, the Ilbirs Foundation, together with representatives from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision and Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, participated in the regional partner meeting of the #CAMCAproject, organized by @campalatoo.

During the meeting, participants discussed the preliminary results and key areas of the model developed by experts from the Humboldt University (Berlin). This model will help create ecological corridors between the “Naryn” and “Khan-Tengri” reserves, facilitating wildlife migration in the context of climate change.

The model uses GPS migration data provided by Central Asian Institute for Land Research and the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, taking into account 24 variables, including ecological and anthropogenic factors.

As a result of the discussions, it was decided to continue refining the data and improving the model for more accurate projections.
