On August 28, the Ilbirs Foundation staff arrived in Tashkent for the kickoff meeting of the One Health program, organized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, our team presented the new IUCN tool, IBEX, designed to assess the effectiveness of protected areas. We shared insights from testing IBEX in the Naryn State Nature Reserve, discussing both its strengths and challenges. Additionally, we provided recommendations to simplify its use and enhance its effectiveness.
