November 3 — World One Health Day! 🌍

This day reminds us that the health of people, animals, and the environment is one and the same.

The One Health concept emphasizes that human, animal, and environmental health are closely interconnected. Diseases, pollution, biodiversity loss, and climate change are all parts of a single system. Without caring for animals and ecosystems, it is impossible to ensure sustainable human health.

The One Health approach helps to:
🍀Prevent zoonotic infections
🍀Promote safe and sustainable agriculture
🍀Preserve ecosystems and clean air

On this day, it is important to remember: by caring for nature and animals, we care for ourselves.
Health is shared by all living beings.

November 3 is World One Health Day, established in 2016 with the support of the One Health Commission, One Health Initiative, and One Health Platform.

In Kyrgyzstan, we are implementing the idea of One Health through the project “Community Climate Health Amongst Livestock Keepers in Kyrgyzstan (CCHALKK)”, funded by the international charitable organization Wellcome.

Our project applies the One Health approach to study how climate change affects the health of people and animals. The findings can help strengthen the health of rural communities, increase their resilience, and develop effective adaptation measures to address the impacts of climate change.
