From June 16 to 17, 2025, staff from the Ilbirs Foundation, together with representatives of the Department for Biodiversity and Protected Areas, conducted a practical training for the rangers of Khan-Teniri State Nature Park.
The focus of the training was on camera trap installation and modern methods of wildlife monitoring🔎.
T.K. Jusumambetov, Chief Specialist of the Department, gave an overview of the legal and regulatory framework of the Kyrgyz Republic related to protected areas. Experts from the Ilbirs Foundation provided hands-on training in setting up and using camera traps, working with GPS devices, and conducting wildlife population surveys in natural habitats.
The rangers showed strong interest, actively engaged in discussions, and enthusiastically practiced new skills. We believe that such capacity-building activities play an important role in strengthening staff potential and improving the effectiveness of nature conservation efforts.
The training was organized within the framework of the #CAMCAproject.
