Additionally, this initiative includes work on studying the habitat of the maral, encompassing the surroundings of the Naryn Nature Reserve, the Syrt zone of Issyk-Kul region, and the settlement of Archaly🦌. From June 22 to 24, 2024, specialists from the #IlbirsFoundation surveyed the vicinity of Archaly. These areas were found to be unsuitable for this species in the winter period due to the complete absence of floodplain forests and shrubs. In addition to the maral, sightings and signs of the Siberian roe deer were also recorded🐾.

All data on routes and wildlife were recorded using the SMART mobile application, which allows not only for the collection of information on ranger patrols but also for a wide range of scientific data collection.
