📆In January 2026, within the frames of the #CAMCAProject, staff of the Ilbirs Foundation conducted a field trip to the high-altitude zones of 📍the Issyk-Kul Province, where 27 interviews were conducted with livestock owners and shepherds.

⚠️ This activity aims to improve understanding of the current state of the ecological corridor, connecting the key protected areas of the country. Particularly, the collected information will help to assess the pressure of livestock grazing on local ecosystems and improve understanding of the human-wildlife conflict🤜.

Data on legal and illegal hunting will also be analyzed to improve understanding of the level of additional pressure on wildlife from these activities.

Data collection will continue in February, including several regions of the 🏔Naryn Province.
