Camera Trap Installation in Khan-Tengiri State Nature Park 🏔️

From 1–3 July 2026, staff of the Ilbirs Foundation, together with rangers from Khan-Tengiri State Nature Park, carried out a field expedition to install camera traps.

To ensure efficient fieldwork, the team was divided into four groups. A total of 16 camera traps were installed in key wildlife habitats across:
📍 Kaindy
📍 Enilchek
📍 Sary-Jaz
📍 Adyr-Tor

🦌 Each camera trap provides a valuable opportunity to collect important data on the distribution and behaviour of rare and endangered wildlife species, assess the status of their populations, and support effective conservation measures.

🤝 These activities are being carried out as part of the project “One Health in Nature Conservation – Enhancing Landscape Resilience to Zoonotic Disease Emergence by Consolidating Nature Conservation Systems in Central Asia”, implemented with the financial support of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
