
On April 23, 2025, the Second National Consultation Meeting was held as part of the #CAMCAproject.
This high-level event gathered a wide range of stakeholders, emphasizing the global and collaborative nature of the initiative.
Participants included representatives from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic; the Regional Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP); a representative of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Kyrgyz Republic; as well as officials from government institutions, scientific and academic organizations, local and international non-governmental organizations, and technical experts.
The main goals of the meeting were to review the project’s achievements, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience, and outline the next steps for the second phase of the initiative.
Ilbirs Foundation presented the results achieved within the framework of the project, along with a detailed presentation on a new methodology for monitoring the Tian Shan maral. This innovative method is already being effectively applied to ensure more accurate and efficient population monitoring.
In conclusion, participants provided recommendations for the continued implementation of the project with active engagement of its beneficiaries and stakeholders.
