🌿 **Strengthening Cross-Border Conservation** 🌿

From January 13-17, the Ilbirs Foundation team visited Kara-Buura State Natural Park to kick off an exciting new transboundary project, supported by the Peace and Biodiversity Dialogue Initiative under the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.

🚶‍♀️📸 Together with park staff, we conducted comprehensive assessments, set up camera traps, and introduced the SMART (Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool) system to rangers, empowering them with cutting-edge tools for conservation.

🤝 Over the coming months, we’ll collaborate with the Association for Biodiversity Conservation in Kazakhstan (ACBK) and Aksu-Zhabagly State Nature Reserve to build stronger cross-border partnerships and enhance cooperation between these vital protected areas.
