Projects

Poaching, illegal hunting and unsustainable use of flora and fauna resources have led to the extinction of many animal species in Kyrgyzstan. Actions, made by national and international (environmental organizations) for the protection of rare and endangered species of animals can have a real result in long-term only by the active involvement of the local communities.
Understanding of this have led to emergence of community-based conservancies in the regions, whose activities aimed at preserving rare species of animals. Ilbirs Foundation is a partner of local organizations: CBC "Shumkar-Tor" in the Kemin district of Chui region, CBC "Chunkur-Tor" in the Ak-Suu district of Issyk Kul region, CBC "Min Teke" in theChon Alai district of Osh region, CBCs "Min Teke" and "Janaidar", as well as CBC “Chegetei Too” of the – Bakai Ata district of Talas region, CBC “2” of the Naryn district, of Naryn region.

Chaar Archa Enviromental Check Post

Since August 2019 Ilbirs Foundation has been providing various types of support to Chaar Archa Environmental Check Post, where State Agency for Environment Protection and Forestry’s (SAEPF) employees patrol permanently. Beekeeping as an alternative income project
